Short version: the calculators run on your device, and we do not see your numbers.
This page covers what CostToHireGuide does and does not collect when you use the calculators, read a guide, or send a message through the contact form.
Every hiring-cost, contractor, freelance-rate, and turnover calculation runs entirely in the browser on your own device using plain JavaScript. The salary figures, benefit percentages, and other inputs you type are never sent to our servers, never logged, and never stored. Close the tab and they are gone.
We use standard web analytics to see which pages get read and which calculators get used, mainly so we know what to fix or expand next. This is aggregate traffic data, not a record of the specific numbers anyone typed into a tool.
CostToHireGuide runs Google AdSense to keep the tools free. AdSense and its partners may set cookies to show ads relevant to you and to measure performance. A banner on your first visit lets you accept or decline this; you can also manage ad personalization directly through Google's own settings.
If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply. That information is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything beyond answering you.
A few outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. It does not change the price you pay or which tool we recommend.
If how we handle data changes in a meaningful way, this page will be updated and the date below will reflect it.
